The Shining

Writer Jack Torrance takes a job for the winter as the caretaker of the luxurious "Overlook" hotel, located near the snowy mountain peaks. For him, this is a great opportunity to finish his novel and spend time with his wife and son.

During the interview, the owner of the hotel tells the main character that the previous caretaker went insane after five months of working in the hotel and killed his wife and two daughters. But this does not scare Jack at all.

The Torrance family moves into the hotel without a hitch. And the building, like a living organism, begins to test its guests for endurance.

Who will survive five months in a snowy wasteland? And is it really true that Jack is visiting the "Overlook" hotel for the first time?
