Table Game - Battle. Version 2

«Battle» is an exciting game, the main idea of which is the capture of territories carried out by playing troop cards from hand.

Before the game starts, 9 battlefields are laid out on the table. To win, a player needs to capture 3 adjacent battlefields or 5 random ones.
Each player plays a card from their hand on their turn, then checks whether it is possible to capture the battlefield in question.
At the end of the turn, a card draw occurs - from the troop deck or the tactics deck.
Warrior cards are numbered from 1 to 10 and differ in 6 colors - suits.
Tactics cards allow you to play additional special actions.
Turns are played alternately, and a battlefield is captured when both players have assembled combinations from their side.

What is the main goal in any military game? Of course, to crush the enemy to pieces! In the game «Battle» this can be done in two ways.
This classic board game by abstract genre master Reiner Knizia has enjoyed deserved popularity among fans of serious duel games since 2000.
The Russian edition is based on a new, collectible version, featuring excellent illustrations that transport the action to the Middle Ages - the cards depict knights and infantrymen who seem ready to charge into battle.

Each game in «Battle» flows fairly quickly but forces players to think carefully about each move: one incorrectly played card can lead to defeat. A small box, low price, and low requirements for table size make this game an invaluable addition to any collection that will surely find its niche.

There are a total of five combinations considering color, rank, and sequence of cards, the weakest of which is simply three any cards (which is quite expected), while the strongest is three of the same color with consecutive numbers.
In equally strong combinations, the one with the higher rank sum wins.

But you can influence the situation not only by playing more troops on your half; tactics cards are also available to you - for example, with the card "Fog", combinations of cards will be ignored, and only the rank will matter, while "Traitor" allows you to take an opponent's card and place it on your side of the field.

You'll have to sacrifice hand space that could be occupied by a troop card for tactical reasons - but it's almost always worth it.
Additionally, there is an optional rule that allows you to play not just with "bare" battlefields, but to flip them to the text side - for instance, more or fewer troops may be required to capture a field.
