In a small town called Orf, located at the edge of the Abyss, lives Riko — the daughter of the famous deep-sea explorer Liza, nicknamed "The Annihilator," who went missing ten years ago.

Riko wants to become an explorer like her mother and search for mysterious ancient artifacts.

And one day, she finds a strange robot that looks very much like an ordinary boy…
