Gazing into the Sun. A Life Without the Fear of Death

At the center of attention is existential psychotherapy and one of its main questions: how a person exists with the understanding of the finiteness of their own life. Irvin D. Yalom writes that the fear of death does not always manifest directly. It can express itself as anxiety without a clear reason, avoidance of important decisions, regret over missed opportunities, and a feeling that life is passing by. This theme is connected to the search for meaning, intimacy, aging, loss, and the ability to honestly look at one's own life.
