White Nights

Four works by F. M. Dostoevsky — "White Nights" (1848), "The Landlady" (1847), "Petersburg Chronicle" (1847), and "A Weak Heart" (1848) — under one cover.

Unrequited love, deep loneliness, the collapse of dreams, and the image of the dreamer unite Dostoevsky's early and most poetic stories "White Nights", "The Landlady", and "A Weak Heart".

The heroes of these works fall in love, sacrifice themselves, try to break free from unfavorable conditions and the monotony of gray life, wandering through the streets of Petersburg, lovingly described by the author. This love is also reflected in the cycle of feuilletons "Petersburg Chronicle", where the image of the dreamer first appears.
