The Babushka Wind

The heroine writes letters to a writer and gradually weaves them into the story of her life. In these letters, there is New York with its salons, diners, and Russian-Jewish Brooklyn, there are the everyday life of a cosmetologist, where strangers' faces and bodies require not only professional skill but also inner resilience. People with traumas, fears, oddities, and a painful desire to become someone else pass before her. At the same time, her childhood in Kyiv, youth, flights, and losses resurface, which prevent the past from letting go even on another continent.
