The Element of Verse. Chinese Poetry of the 7th–10th Centuries

Each new generation sends its own request for understanding and reproducing foreign literary classics. In Russia, more than three decades have passed since the fundamental translation of poetry from the Tang era, and the time has required a rethinking of this «golden age» of Chinese classical poetry.
The collection «The Element of Verse», which includes 140 poems by 40 poets from the 7th to 10th centuries (the period of the Tang dynasty), is precisely the answer to the call of time.
