Collected Works in Ten Volumes

In the works of Ivan Alexeevich Bunin (1870–1953), the changing life of Russia during the time of those enormous upheavals, which the breakdown of the old order brought to the world, is reflected like in a mirror. Measuring life by the highest standards, Bunin had an aversion to the revolution. In 1920, he left Russia and then lived in France. In 1933, he became a Nobel Prize laureate. However, rejecting the revolutionary recreation of life and any violence, the writer constantly suffered and mournfully experienced in his work the tragedy of the eternally suffering Russian people. The set of ten books contains works written by the author from 1886 to 1952.
