Attachment Theory: Fundamental Questions

Attachment theory is an actively developing area of psychology, where scientific discussions are constantly taking place and new ideas are being proposed. The editors of the book identified nine key questions and invited leading experts to provide answers to them. The book presents various perspectives on what attachment relationships are, how to assess the reliability of attachment, how internal working models function, how early attachment relationships influence behavior in adulthood, what difficulties arise when working in a multicultural environment, how to conduct therapeutic interventions based on attachment models, and much more. In the concluding chapter, the editors identify points of convergence and divergence in the presented opinions and draw important conclusions regarding the directions of future research.
