Ellen K. Quick — clinical psychologist, specialist in brief therapy. She received her bachelor's degree from Wellesley College (1970) and her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Pittsburgh (1974). Since 1981, she has been working with Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. She completed an internship at the Mental Research Institute (MRI), at the Brief Family Therapy Center (BFTC), and with Milton Erickson. She is the author of publications on the integration of solution-focused therapy and strategic therapy, emphasizing what works in the client's life and the therapist's practice.
