Truth and Existence

"Truth and Existence" — a work from the mature period, published posthumously. It allows the reader to trace the author's thought process after the book "Being and Nothingness", with which this essay is closely related and should be viewed as a transition from it to the next fundamental work.
This edition presents the original text of the essay. In it, Sartre, using the left page of the notebook as margins, recorded thoughts that he later intended to develop, as well as a plan for the new moral concept he was creating. As the author himself wrote: "I am searching for a modern morality… I am trying to determine what choice a person can make for themselves and for the world in 1948".
