The Last War

This novella is part of the cycle about the cosmonaut and doctor Pavlysh. Earthlings have avoided nuclear war and united in the Galactic Center. The crew of the ship "Segezha" receives a mission: to revive life on the planet Muna, destroyed by atomic war. With the help of an alien device, they resurrect the dead from preserved cells, purify the atmosphere, and build a new life.

The reality was complex, scorched, with remnants of a military organization denying the free will of all inhabitants. In underground bunkers, the instigators of the conflict survived, ready to destroy the planet again in order to maintain power. Can the Earthlings prevent a repetition of the tragedy? Will this war truly be the last?

The book is about a second chance, responsibility for civilizations, and the eternal struggle between good and evil.
