Heavy Dreams

«Heavy Dreams» is largely an autobiographical and very personal novel for Sologub. At the center of the narrative is teacher Login, a romantic and dreamer, living in a provincial town where he does not belong. His life is a series of gray, monotonous days, and over time his boredom gives rise to madness. Login flits between reality and visions, increasingly immersing himself in the world of heavy dreams... The edition also includes the collections «The Book of Partings» and «The Book of Charms», which are selected stories, novellas, and legends published in 1908 and 1909.
