Severe Speech Disorders in Autism and Other Features of Mental Development. Paths to Correction

In the book by Ekaterina Yuryevna Klimontovich, methodological approaches to the correction of severe speech disorders in children and adolescents are presented – both primary and those arising in autism, TMNR, genetic syndromes, cerebral palsy, and others. Years of experience in speech therapy work at leading Moscow scientific and practical organizations specializing in the correction of psycholinguistic development, along with familiarity with advanced thematic literature, have allowed the author to describe and formulate her own approach to speech development, enabling good results even in very complex cases. The manual outlines the main stages of speech development and provides a detailed clinical characterization of severe speech disorders, the main directions and content of speech therapy work, descriptions of various correction strategies and principles for their selection, and numerous examples from practice and exercise samples.
