On the Edge of a Scalpel

Bologna, 1847. Before the orphan Nora Bidi, a student of the famous surgeon Dr. Croft, wonderful prospects unfold: the talented girl is accepted into an ancient Italian university, and the best doctors in Europe take an interest in her. But in this barrel of honey, there is also a considerable spoonful of tar: women doctors in the 19th century face open disdain from their male colleagues, who believe that the operating room and science are no place for a woman.

Nora, gathering all her courage, continues to fight for the right to become a doctor and help people. In the continuation of the popular novel "The Girl with the Knife," we again meet the brave heroes: Nora Bidi herself, her beloved Daniel Gibson, and mentor Horace Croft, who await new challenges.
