A Gentleman in Moscow

Once a poet, Count Alexander Rostov in 1922 finds himself before a tribunal as an enemy of the working class. Instead of the death penalty, the count is sent into an extremely unusual exile – to the Hotel “Metropol,” which he is not allowed to leave. At all. The owner of a large estate, who has never worked a day in his life, now Count Rostov must adapt and survive in new conditions while witnessing the most terrifying, pivotal events in our history. Gradually, Rostov realizes that gentlemen are never former.
