Maniac Gurevich

— You are quite the maniac, Gurevich!

This nickname has literally stuck to Senya Gurevich since childhood. And not because he was actually a maniac. No. It's just because he always wandered in his fantasies and often got into stories. Sometimes he would tell his parents that at night, some people scream and laugh in the oven. Other times, he would give his teacher a birthday card in verse: "Childhood age — forty-three! Spit and grind!"

And it was inevitable that Senya Gurevich entered medical school and chose psychiatry as the work of his life. He saw so much in his many years of practice. He saved a patient from a samovar in cavalry boots. He tried to rescue a poet from a psychiatric hospital. And at one point, the wind of change picked up Gurevich with his wife and two children and carried them into emigration. Trials and changes are not for the weak. They are for those who are ready to take a scooter to an armored train.
