Programming with Artificial Intelligence

This book is dedicated to the practice of using artificial intelligence tools for all stages of code creation: from requirements development and planning to designing, writing, debugging, and testing. A modular programming methodology is proposed that effectively combines with the code generation approach using AI. The main capabilities and scenarios for using AI tools for development are considered, along with the pros and cons of popular systems. The prospects for using universal language models (LLM) such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and others for solving programming tasks are shown. The application of a wide range of specialized systems (GitHub Copilot, Tabnine, Cursor, Amazon CodeWhisperer) is also discussed. Issues of prompt engineering, automation of routine tasks such as creating regular expressions, and the application of low-code and no-code programming, among others, are covered.
