If we consider that the purpose of science is to solve diverse problems faced by people, culturally distinct societies, and humanity as a whole, then the abundance of problems inherited from the past, the generation of new ones, and their exacerbation is a basis for believing that historically established social science disciplines are notadequate to life as such. And therefore, the requirements of educational standards in the field of social studies are also inadequate to life as such — both in general education and in higher education. Consequently, adherence to educational standards in the field of social disciplines continues the policy of shaping an inadequate worldview among school students and university students, and as a result, reproducing the potential for problems, disasters, and catastrophes in the future. Therefore, we considered it beneficial to write in a free manner and publish the presentation materials of an alternative to the standard educational course "The Basics of Sociology".
