The Death of Nero

The dramatic masterpiece by Mikhail Alexeyevich Kuzmin "The Death of Nero" (1929) is little known to the reader. In narrow circles of Russian modernism enthusiasts, it has gained a reputation as an exciting yet mysterious statement, as Kuzmin resorts to Aesopian language while portraying Nero and his "double," the Russian writer Pavel Lukin.
