The Development of Speech in Autistic Children

The book presents an author's method that allows for the development of both expressive and receptive speech in children with early childhood autism. Special attention is paid to creating motivation for communication.

One of the chapters is devoted to outlining the methodology for working with toddlers aged two to three years. This is the age period when the start of targeted speech work is particularly effective.
