The book by journalist Irina Novik is a collection of real stories of people who refused to participate in the war. These people, citizens of the Russian Federation, differ in age, background, and views, and due to circumstances found themselves at war or were on the brink of it. However, later, guided by certain—and not always the same—considerations, they decided to flee.
