The Beginning of Rus'. Slavs and Their Neighbors

The book by historian, writer, and cultural scholar P.V. Tulaev contains summaries of his many years of research on the origins of the Slavic-Russian world. Considering chronicle data, as well as the works of domestic and foreign scholars of the 16th-20th centuries, the author provides a broad panorama of historical events from prehistoric times to the Mongol invasion. It tells in a popular scientific manner about the homelands of the Indo-Europeans, the Danube cradle of the Slavs, ancient peoples of Eurasia, and the barbarians - rivals of the Roman Empire.
