The Beginning of Rus' and the Slavs

The book of works by the historian, writer, and cultural scholar P. V. Tulaev continues his fundamental research on the problems of the ethnogenesis of the Slavic-Russian world. It opens with a detailed review of scientific studies by several generations of Russian and foreign scholars: from the first Slavophiles to the present day. The book includes new works by the author on the history of Rus', the formation of its culture and statehood. Special attention is given to the origins of Cyrillic writing, the mysteries of linguistics, and paleography. The publication is supplemented with unique information about the Slavic movement at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries.
