Angels and Insects

From the author of the Booker Prize-winning novel «Possession», «The Frederica Quartet» and «The Children’s Book», a dame of the Order of the British Empire — two interrelated stories about the mores of the Victorian elite, united under the common title «Angels and Insects». This is — «possibly the best Baigent book after „Possession“» (Times Literary Supplement). The sincerity of feelings is combined here with an intellectual game, historical accuracy — with fiction. The story «Morfo Eugenius» served as the basis for director Philip Haas's acclaimed film «Angels and Insects» (starring Mark Rylance, Kristin Scott Thomas).
