Odessa Stories

«Odessa Stories» is dedicated to the life of the Jewish quarter of Moldavanka in Odessa in the early 20th century. At the center is the colorful bandit «king» Benya Krik, often considered a prototype of Misha Yaponchik. These stories vividly convey the atmosphere of criminal Odessa: smuggling, street disputes, and the everyday life of the townspeople, shown through the lens of subtle humor and unique language.
Also included in the collection are cycles of stories «The Story of My Pigeon Loft», «The Great Krinitsa», «Petersburg Diary», and others.
