The Black Cat Makes a Deal

«Don't be scared, I'm just the devil! – says the black cat to the fifteen-year-old Chonin. – And I have a day off today».

From this moment on, the life of an ordinary schoolboy living below the poverty line turns into a series of strange wonders. The devil-cat claims that he just wants to take a break from his eternal work – and in gratitude, he grants any wishes of the boy.

But the more wishes come true, the more it becomes evident: the miracles change not only Chonin's life but also the world around him. Something disappears, breaks, collapses. And then the boy begins to understand that the price of the deal may be higher than he thought.
