It all begins with a letter and a sinister journey through dark waters. Ten years after Jack Tamerlane was sent to the mainland to become a bard, he is called home to Cadencia.
Girls have been disappearing from the island, and... Adaira, his childhood nemesis and future clan leader, believes that Jack is the only one who can find them. The spirits of the elements, residing in every breath of air, splash of water, and flicker of fire, find joy in the lives of people, and the bard's music is the only way to summon them and ask to return the girls. However, as Jack and Adaira get closer to unraveling the mystery, it becomes clear that beneath the surface lies a more ancient and dark secret connected to Cadencia, and no harp song can be powerful enough to stop it.
