Cold in Berlin

Berlin, 1946. It's safer for small people not to stick their necks out: former allies are weaving intrigues in the struggle for power, and the conquered people will not shy away from any means to survive. But what if, apart... from you, there is no one else to restore justice?
 
In one of the residential buildings of the German capital, American journalist Jacob Huber finds the body of a young woman. Going to fetch the police, Jacob runs into a Soviet patrol and returns to the scene with soldiers. However, they are met by a bewildered landlady: she has just come home, and there is no body here, nor was there ever.
 
Jacob is determined to uncover the truth. Both the American authorities and the Soviets have their own interests in the case, yet no one cares about the fate of the woman lying on the floor. Who is she? Perhaps she was alive and, upon waking, left on her own? And if not, who took the body and where? It seems the unfortunate woman is destined to become a pawn in the plans of the superpowers. Just like anyone who tries to uncover her fate…
