Summer of 1979.

In England, narrow skinny jeans have just come into fashion, and families gather in the evenings in front of the flickering screen of the only television. Twelve-year-old schoolgirls Miv and Sharon are in for an unusual holiday. A serial maniac, already nicknamed the Yorkshire Ripper, is on the loose in their sleepy town. And since the police have no official version, and adults are whispering in kitchens and hiding newspapers from the children, the best friends start their own list of suspects. It includes all the "strange" residents of the town: from the owner of the grocery store to the withdrawn boy from the next street. People they know well and those they don’t know at all. And although their detective methods are quite naive, Miv and Sharon learn much more about their neighbors, their neighborhood, and even about each other than they would like.

What if the main clue the friends are trying to find becomes the end? Of friendship. Childhood. And someone’s life…
