It's good that we're different!

Lessons of kindness are the best gift we can give to children. It is during the preschool years that a child learns to recognize and notice feelings, empathize and show compassion, help and care. But how do we choose the... right words and explain what kindness is, what it consists of, and why it is important? Children are naturally conservative, so it is crucial for adults to pay attention to the diversity of the world around them and to the fact that this diversity does not divide us but enriches us. We may look different, have different means, different families, different strengths and weaknesses, but we have much in common. The ability to notice points of contact is an important communication skill that not only makes life more joyful but is also extremely beneficial. Child psychologist and art therapist Elena Burieva created stories about a boy named Philip, who, together with his parents, learns a lot about the world: he meets children who look and behave differently, who may have different financial means or who live in a single-parent family.
