The town of Elian-Hollow became famous after the filming of a cult horror movie and has since lived in a perpetual Halloween mode, welcoming tourists all year round. In the... run-up to another holiday, a filming crew from a popular ghost hunting reality show arrives here, and the first location of the new season is the bookstore "Lazy Bones".


Its owner, Bailey Briggs, is busy preparing for a themed literary festival. But the holiday is overshadowed by a mysterious murder, and all the evidence unexpectedly points to Bailey herself. To restore her good name, she is forced to start her own investigation – and very soon the town of Halloween will reveal its darkest secrets to her…
