The town of Elian-Hollow became famous after the filming of a cult horror movie and has since lived in a state of eternal Halloween, welcoming tourists year-round. In anticipation of another celebration, a filming crew from a popular reality show about ghost hunting arrives here — and the first location of the new season is the bookstore "Lazy Bones".


Its owner, Bailey Briggs, is busy preparing for a themed literary festival. But the festivities are overshadowed by a mysterious murder, and all the evidence unexpectedly points to Bailey herself. To restore her good name, she is forced to start her own investigation — and very soon the Halloween town will reveal to her its darkest secrets…
