Novel about Girls

A writer and screenwriter who knew Vysotsky well, Eduard Volodarsky, called Vladimir Semyonovich "a passionate and captivating storyteller," "stuffed with wonderful stories like a New Year's bag of gifts." Most of these stories turned into poems or songs, but some... required realization in prose. But no matter what Vysotsky wrote about — a couple that met on a stormy night at a beach in Yugoslavia, how to properly respond to an offer to play chess, or about who, when, and what sacrifices art requires — he did it vividly, figuratively, and with humor. This edition includes Vysotsky's prose, including the novella "Novel about Girls" and two screenplays: "It Happened Like This" and "Where's the Center?" Most of these works were published for the first time after the great artist's death.
