The novel "Goya, or The Thorny Path of Knowledge" occupies a special place in the work of Lion Feuchtwanger and is perhaps the writer's most famous work. Originally conceived in 1943, the novel about the Spanish artist Goya y Lucientes was only published in 1951. Seven years – a record-long period for Feuchtwanger – were required for him to create this exceptional artistic biography, which to this day remains an unmatched example of the genre.
In this edition, the famous novel is published for the first time in a new translation by Roman Eivadis.
