Aaron Decker's life is irrevocably changed one December morning when he learns that his wife Allison has been killed. Obsessed with her ghost, Aaron goes through the deceased's belongings when he finds a motel receipt from another part of the... country. Unable to cope with his grief, the widower embarks on a journey to find out what Allison was doing in the weeks leading up to her death.
But he is unprepared for the dark secrets that his wife kept from him, unprepared for the death and horrors that were present in her other, secret life. With each new encounter, diving into an incomprehensible and frankly supernatural story, Aaron becomes more and more unhinged, longing only to know the truth, even if it means risking his own life.
