When we hear the name Johann Strauss, we immediately think of the "king of waltzes", the conductor at the ball of Satan in the novel "The Master and Margarita", the wonderful operetta "Die Fledermaus", and the legend of the mad... and unhappy love of the Viennese composer for a Russian beauty. All of this is true… but at the same time, it is not. For instance, the original plot of the operetta was quite different from what we know, and Mikhail Bulgakov somehow did not specify which of the Johann Strauss composers conducted Woland's orchestra.
