No Rush: How to Stop Hurrying and Start Living

From all sides, we hear advice on how to speed up and achieve more. But think for a second: can life really be reduced to a race for results? Is it worth applying speed-reading techniques to Proust's works? Shortening the... duration of sex? Cooking in the microwave? Of course not, and that's why more and more people prefer to step off the track and live at their own pace. While the whole world is racing to oblivion, a quite significant and growing minority has dug in and refuses to press the gas pedal. And you know what? It helps. Contrary to the ominous prophecies of speed merchants, 'slower' often turns out to be 'better': for health, work, business, family relationships, sports, food, and sex, a leisurely pace is beneficial.
