Tsugumi

«Tsugumi» — one of the most famous novels by contemporary Japanese writer Banana Yoshimoto, which made her name in the literary world. This beautifully written story is about the friendship of two cousins, Tsugumi and Maria, who are completely different in character. Tsugumi is seriously ill, but possesses incredible beauty, charisma, and a wicked temper. The melancholic and kind Maria is her complete opposite. The paradox of their communication is complicated by dramatic family circumstances and the expectation of imminent death.
