Naive Mimochka dreams of a beautiful life, a handsome groom, and magnificent fashionable outfits. Finding a suitable match for their daughter is the main task for mommy and daddy. And finally, Mimochka is a bride! And although the groom is... not very young, perhaps too heavy, and, frankly speaking, bald, he has a general's rank and respect in society.
Paris, luxurious dresses, and jewelry – everything Mimo dreamed of has come true. Only the poor girl is bored and withering away like a delicate rose on a winter day. To improve her health, she is sent to spa waters, where she does something that one cannot expect from a respectable married lady – adultery.
But will this all end in deception and a skillful social game? After all, her husband and baby are waiting for her in Petersburg.
And why did no one ask what Mimochka herself wants?
What she wants is true love, genuine feelings, joy, and life.
"Mimochka" is an outstanding example of Russian satire written long before Taffy and Mikhail Zoshchenko – caustic, funny, yet benevolent.
