Utopia

«Utopia», first published in 1516, — the most famous book by the outstanding English humanist writer Thomas More. It describes the ideal functioning of society on a fantastical island.

A film about Thomas More titled «A Man for All Seasons» (1966) won numerous awards, including six Oscars. His work laid the foundation for a new literary genre — utopia, and also influenced many scholars, writers, and philosophers, encouraging them to develop and reinterpret the ideas presented in «Utopia».
