Modern, Art Nouveau, Jugendstil, Secession – all of this refers to it, the beautiful, original, mysterious, and sometimes openly sensual style that dominated the visual arts at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. This artistic phenomenon is associated with numerous renowned architects, painters, graphic artists, and masters of applied arts, but perhaps the most prominent and significant names are those of Antonio Gaudí, Gustav Klimt, and Alfons Mucha, as evidenced by the unwavering attention to their personas by the broadest audience. This book is dedicated to these three authors, not limiting itself, however, to their creative heritage within the mentioned style, but allowing us to trace the gradual development of each master, from their earliest works to mature pieces that demonstrate their interest in exploring new frontiers in the rapidly changing world of art at that time.
