Alphabet from A to S

A popular writer of Iranian descent is going through tough times. Her career, to which she dedicated her whole life and sacrificed much, is under threat. She turns to books for support – deciding to sort her home library alphabetically... and read those she has never read. The protagonist converses with them as if they were living people – grappling with a thought or another, she projects it onto the surrounding reality, political events, and her personal life: the death of her mother, divorce from her husband, her son's illness. Her reflections are filled with memories of her youth – emancipation at 16, difficult relationships with her parents, searching for her place in the world.
