In a picturesque castle in northern England, eccentric collector Lord Winterbourne gathers a number of distinguished guests from the literary world to showcase a rare specimen of a very valuable book. However, it soon becomes clear that one of the... guests — a respected literary critic — has been poisoned by that very book. Young librarian and passionate literature lover Emily decides to take the investigation into her own hands. Accompanied by the fearless butler of the castle and a charming detective, Emily delves into the world of literary mysteries, uncovering envy and intrigue among the guests, each of whom could be both a victim and a killer. In the process, she finds not only clues but also answers to her own questions.
