Once, a thirty-five-year-old heroine of the novel finds a photograph in which her father and mother are... holding her as a small child. This discovery changes everything – it marks the beginning of a long and intense journey into the past, which reminds the heroine of space missions. For her, returning to her home in Barcelona, it is extremely difficult – her mother is seriously ill, her father has moved to Madrid, and her half-brother and half-sister do not know each other... No one wants to unearth family secrets and childhood traumas. Trying to look back and come to terms with her past, she tells herself: astronauts had it much harder, but it was their flights that made it possible to uncover what, it turns out, had always been within reach.
