In the game Restaurant Battle (Rival Restaurants), you will step into the shoes of a chef striving to create the best recipes and gain the highest popularity for your restaurant. You have a vast selection of dishes from different cuisines around the world at your disposal, so there's no reason why you can't become the winner and earn the crown of culinary champion! The goal of the game is clear: compete in preparing the most exceptional dishes and earn the coveted 20 victory points.

At the beginning of the game, you receive a unique chef card with abilities, a small capital, your own restaurant specializing in a specific cuisine (Japanese, Italian, Mexican, etc.), as well as several initial recipes that you will start preparing from the very first round of the game.

Over several rounds representing different days, you will go through three distinct phases. Each phase requires quick decision-making and simultaneous actions from all players, leaving little room for contemplation, as the dish and the waiting guests can get cold!

• - In the "Income and Movement" phase, players collect their current income from their restaurant (throughout the game, you can upgrade your restaurant and increase income) and secretly choose on their movement wheel where they want to go on the game board. The game board features several markets, each offering different types of ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, dairy products, meat, or unique items. The phase ends when all players announce their destinations, simultaneously moving their chefs to the chosen market on the game board
• - The "Buying and Trading" phase is a chaotic but very exciting and engaging process. There is a set amount of time for everything according to an hourglass timer! Here, players buy ingredients at the selected market - pay for the products at the chosen market and take them to your restaurant. If two chefs compete for the same ingredient, bidding is announced for the ingredient, and the highest bid takes the coveted product! In addition, players can negotiate and trade with opponents who have gone to other markets to get the desired ingredients at a favorable price. "Who wants the fish, but I need those tomatoes! I’ll trade 1 to 2!"
• - After you have gathered the ingredients, it’s time for the "Cooking and Scoring" phase. Here, you assemble recipes based on the ingredients acquired in the previous phase. All used products are discarded. Successfully preparing recipes earns you popularity points, but it also creates waste. Be careful to dispose of the waste, as it can lower your popularity in the future. Waste can even be used as a bargaining tool by offering it to other chefs along with rare ingredients in exchange for a strategic advantage. Different recipes belong to specific cuisines - if you prepare sushi in your Japanese restaurant, you will earn an increased number of victory points! So keep an eye on who has the recipes you need and try to trade for them!

On the game board, there are various markets where players can buy and trade ingredients, such as the "Dairy King" for cheese and milk or the "Fruit Stand" for tomatoes and avocados. The most exclusive market, the "Secret Shop," offers elite ingredients like wine and chocolate, which can increase the popularity of your dishes. There is also a market where you can buy special action cards or simply dispose of all the accumulated waste.

Action cards add an extra layer of strategy to the game, allowing players to play them anytime during the first two phases. Actions include stealing money from other chefs or buying ingredients at discounted prices.

Throughout the game, you can use the earned money to purchase upgrades for your restaurant, increasing your income or expanding your recipe choices. Each chef also possesses a unique ability that can shake up the game: from stealing ingredients and money to manipulating opponents' movements before the "Buying and Trading" phase.
