Papyrus

This narrative is an attempt to pick up and continue the adventure of book hunters. I wanted to try to join them as a companion in the pursuit of lost manuscripts, unknown stories, and silent voices. It is possible that... they were merely hounds in the service of rulers, tormented by delusions of grandeur, and did not realize the importance of their task, considering it absurd. At night, under the open sky, when the last embers were dying in the bonfires, they grumbled about how they could no longer risk their lives for the dreams of a madman. Surely they would have preferred to embark on missions that promised an easier promotion: to suppress uprisings in the Nubian desert or to check cargoes on Nile barges. In any case, I suspect that in chasing all the books in the world, like particles of scattered treasure, they unknowingly laid the foundation of our world.
