Dream in the Jade Pavilion

The novel "Dream in the Jade Pavilion" is one of the most famous works of Korean literature. It was presumably created in the 17th-18th centuries and immediately gained wide popularity, although the exact authorship of the book has not yet... been established. "Dream in the Jade Pavilion" is considered to be on par with the best examples of classical Chinese prose: the novels "Romance of the Three Kingdoms," "Journey to the West," and "Dream of the Red Chamber" (the latter is linked not only by a similar title but also by a common genre — "dream novel," in which the main characters experience incredible adventures in the world of dreams).
The novel is distinguished by its richness of plot lines, vivid characters, and whimsical imagination, characteristic of the best examples of Eastern literature. In this edition, "Dream in the Jade Pavilion" is printed from a book published in the series "Library of Eastern Literature" in 1982 and is accompanied by classical illustrations by Chinese artists.
