The Thin Line of Calm

May 1942. In Nazi-occupied Ukraine, the NKVD is planning a unique operation.

Disguised as a Wehrmacht officer looking for a testing ground for new combat equipment in the occupied territory, an agent with valuable documents is supposed to meet with Soviet scouts.

A special group led by Major Maxim Shelestov is heading to the designated area for the meeting. But neither the group members nor the NKVD operational staff know that the actions of the agent are closely monitored by German intelligence. Until the last moment, everything goes according to plan. The horrible denouement occurs when the operation seems to have been successfully completed…
