7 and 37 Wonders of the World

In 1965, historian and oriental scholar Igor Vsevolodovich Mozheiko (1934–2003), known in the academic community for his works on the history of Southeast Asia, defended his PhD dissertation on the topic “The Pagan State (11th–13th centuries),” and in 1981, his... doctoral dissertation on the topic “Buddhist Sangha and the State in Burma.” Meanwhile, all Soviet teenagers (and many adults too!) were engrossed in the works of the famous national science fiction writer Kir Bulychev. Only a few knew that the scholar Igor Mozheiko and the creator of Alice Seleznyova were the same person.
“7 and 37 Wonders of the World” is an engaging story about outstanding monuments of architecture and art from the ancient list of “seven wonders of the world.” But not only about them: the author significantly expanded this textbook list to give due recognition to remarkable creations of human genius made beyond the world known to the ancient Greeks.
