In 1965, historian and oriental scholar Igor Vsevolodovich Mozheiko (1934–2003), known in the academic community for his works on the history of Southeast Asia, defended his PhD dissertation on the topic “The Pagan State (11th–13th centuries),” and in 1981, his... doctoral dissertation on the topic “Buddhist Sangha and the State in Burma.” Meanwhile, all Soviet teenagers (and many adults too!) were engrossed in the works of the famous national science fiction writer Kir Bulychev. Only a few knew that the scholar Igor Mozheiko and the creator of Alice Seleznyova were the same person.
