Bonaparte

In the book "Bonaparte," belonging to the pen of the famous French writer Georges Montorgueil (real name Octave Lebeg, 1857-1933), an engaging account of the first period of Napoleon's life (1769-1821) is presented - from his childhood spent in Corsica... to the brilliant victories of General Bonaparte in the wars of revolutionary France, concluding with the coronation of Emperor Napoleon I at the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris in 1804. The book contains 36 illustrations by the outstanding French artist Job (pseudonym of Jacques Onfroy de Breville, 1858-1931), a master of book graphics and caricature. Detailed and dedicated to the key moments of the great commander’s life, they immerse the reader in the complex atmosphere of the Napoleonic era. The edition is accompanied by an explanatory note to the illustrations and detailed comments.
